AMVETS Programs

  • Meals for a Cause Thanksgiving - The AMVETS provide Thanksgiving meals to individuals, families and the homeless in our community on Thanksgiving Day.
  • Meals for a Cause Christmas - The AMVETS provide Christmas meals to individuals, families and the homeless in our community on Christmas Day.
  • Help our local Veterans with: Transportation to appointments, help with yard duties (grass cutting, weed eating, trimming bush's, etc), help with hotel when passing through or housing issues, and help with car trouble. We help our Veterans in everyway that we can.
  • Scholarships - The AMVETS Post 35 Scholarship program provides opportunities for advanced education for our North Okaloosa County selected High School seniors who desire to attend an institution of higher learning.

Sons programs

  • The Sons of AMVETS sponsor various community service projects.
  • These include Americanism, VAVS, legislative, scholarship, food drives and many other programs.
  • In addition, the Sons support AMVETS, Ladies Auxiliary and Junior AMVETS programs as well as other Veterans Service Organizations.
